JOE LEDOUX

My dad had just returned from a walk in the woods. I asked him, “Next time you go for a walk, do you think you could grab a stick for me to use as a wand?” He reached behind his back and said, “You mean like this?” and pulled out a stick that was created from the magical force of nature. 

The wand was from a beaver dam, which the beavers had cut and chewed by chance, into what looks exactly like a wizard’s wand. The love of my life, Ashley Rine, was standing right next to me witnessing the amazing synchronicity. She looked as surprised as I did and replied, "Joe, how can you not use that?”

And so that day, the wand chose me. It’s strange because the wand connects me to the heart of my artistic vision - no gimmicks, real magic, relationships, and nature.
