I have always loved artists that break rules and boundaries. Elissa Steamer changed the world of skateboarding forever with her part in Toy Machines’ Welcome to Hell. With one leap of the board she bridged the gender gap in skateboarding’s boys club. She seems like the most humble, genuine person who loves skateboarding for what it is, and I have the deepest respect for her and the women she has inspired to skate!
“Skateboarding still has a stigma attached to it, even though we know it’s the coolest thing in the world... But you can’t really wonder what society has planned for people my age. If I’m doing what I love to do and it’s working for me – and I have a good view of the world – I don’t think it matters. So am I defying society? Yeah, I guess so. If what society says still matters or is real.” - Elissa Steamer At one time I had some red smoke come out of a bag and pulled out three potatoes. I would then start juggling them while saying "Hot potato!" I just wanted a juggling routine that made sense, lol. Some other sketches for other tricks are here too.
